for frida, an editorial

In our Mexican culture, November is a very special month, as are the cempasúchil flowers, which only grow at this time of the year. they are brief, strong and beautiful and I like to think that this is how frida kahlo’s life was.

Today we start celebrating Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) and this is a little tribute for frida, the artist who has always inspired me.

These beautiful flowers are portrayed here, so that she knows from beyond that, like her art, she will never die.

Thanks to all the wonderful people involved for making this possible.

“I paint flowers so they will not die.”
