I’m truly excited to share the photos from this most beautiful wedding weekend in San Miguel de Allende. Steph and Chris are a gorgeous couple of travelers from Canada and when I met them the year before their celebrations, we spent the whole morning envisioning everything they dreamed of. They were carefully attentive to all my suggestions not only for the planning of their photography experience but also about everything I said to them, including local vendor recommendations and their wedding was so detailed, fun and dreamlike.
They fell in love with the unique magic of San Miguel, its traditions, good food and color and they wanted their loved ones to experience all of that as well while enjoying the wedding days, which was a success.
The weekend was an amazing fusion of their Korean and Chinese families with two days of festivities that started with a pre-wedding session where these two enjoyed some intimate couple time and relaxed creating with me as we walked around the town. After that, we went to Parque Juarez for their Callejoneada where of course everyone laughed, danced and enjoyed Mexico with the mariachi. To end our first day, we went to the Rosewood hotel and they received all their guests on the Luna rooftop for their welcome party with a Mexican buffet, drinks, the beautiful view and the sunset.
The wedding day was fabulous. I really loved the trust these two put in me and working with a coordinator like Monserrat Guerrero and all her team who always make everything very smooth and friendly. The wedding was hosted at the Villa Santa Monica hotel, a classic venue with a privileged location in the heart of San Miguel and perfect for an intimate and elegant wedding like this.
The whole day was based on Steph and Chris being able to enjoy everything they had planned, documenting all the special moments and creating portraits of the two of them that they will remember for the rest of their lives. A beautiful open first look and couple session, wedding ceremony among green gardens and rose petals floating above them. A candlelight filled reception, cool and a little more alternative, lots of champagne, dancing and a delicious dinner by Maye Cordova.
Such was the wedding of these two; unique, lush, intimate. Thank you guys for choosing me.
The wedding was documented on digital and with a mix of film including 35mm and Polaroid, as well as Super 8 film, which you can see in full here.
