I could say a thousand things about how much I loved this wedding and working with Danijela and Teddy, but I don’t think it will be enough. From the moment I received the first email, I was so excited to be a part of this love story, Danijela is a hopeless romantic like me and what she envisioned for her wedding weekend was like a dream. These two are one of those couples that you see and melt like ice cream in the sun, their love for each other comes from every pore and that undoubtedly made this wedding feel like a fairytale night.

The coverage started two days before when they arrived in San Miguel and we had a great time taking portraits prior to their wedding, nothing produced, just the two of them in jeans and cowboy boots, walking and kissing in the streets which resulted in some beautiful portraits.

The night before the wedding was their white welcome party on the rooftop of Casa 1810 Parque, Danijela with a stunning short dress-bridal look couldn’t take the smile off her face as she and Teddy welcomed all their guests with a drink in hand.

And finally the marvelous wedding day arrived, and as the day went on I realized how Danijela and her wonderful planners had succeeded in bringing to reality everything that a year ago she had written to me in that email. A gorgeous Floure wedding dress and many happy tears accompanied the morning, Danijela and Teddy saw each other for the first time before their ceremony and calmed their nerves a bit while the day was documented in a combination of medium format black and white film, 35MM, digital and Polaroid.

The ceremony was so beautiful and I must say that a little tear came to my eye too when Danijela came walking up to Teddy and took a mental picture of him at that moment. Teddy’s eyes were sparkling with emotion, they were surrounded by a gorgeous arch of white and soft pink roses and all the laughter of their loved ones waiting for them to hand over those Cartier rings and say yes forever.

The cocktail followed and then came the mariachi, the pool full of rose petals was a spectacle and when it was time to get to the reception, oh my… I think everyone, including myself, was speechless.

Enormous and precious fabrics covered the ceiling and walls to unveil an atmosphere of another era. Inspired by the Baroque, the decoration and aesthetics of the reception was just breathtaking; candles everywhere in all sizes, thousands of flowers, crystals and chandeliers in the dance floor as well as the most decadent dessert table. Every scene looked like something out of a painting, a dream wedding romantic to the core.

Dear Danijela and Teddy Bear, you are in my heart and I thank you infinitely for making me part of your dream.
