The Welcome Party
Although this weekend began with Samantha and Sean doing a little pre-wedding session on the streets of San Miguel, I decided to share those photos in a separate entry because what comes next is an in-depth coverage of two events filled with much love, hugs, romance and lots of fun.
After taking photos downtown, Sam and Sean hosted their guests at a beautiful event on one of the terraces with the best views of the city, where everyone was treated with food and cocktails as they celebrated these two and their beautiful love—contagious to anyone who knows them.
The Wedding Day
The wedding took place at one of my favorite venues in San Miguel, Casa Adela, which is located just a short distance from the heart of the town. It’s a place full of charm, light, and nature—a delight to photograph, especially for a wedding as special as this one.
After a first look and plenty of photos the ceremony followed in the venue’s main garden. Once again (since it’s always a pleasure to collaborate with them) the work of Maye Cordova and her daughter Valeria was extraordinary, creating a gorgeous outdoor setting with warm and wild floral designs that perfectly complemented the house and its natural splendor.
A pre-cocktail greeted the guests while the talented Carlos Miranda played his saxophone and with that, the ceremony began. I have to say that I really love outdoor ceremonies, especially in a garden like this one. The sunset bathed us in magical light as Samantha and Sean exchanged vows and declared their love for one another. Tears fell as the sun set and the afternoon turned into an incredibly romantic evening as the candlelight illuminated the scene and Maye’s delicious dinner began.
The party kicked off right away when Oh LaLá started performing and everyone went wild as Sam and Sean hit the dance floor.
Great music, dancing and a real desire to celebrate—because after the live concert these two put on, an after-party followed by the pool area, where disco balls lit up Casa Adela’s iconic gazebo, and the DJ set brought the second half of the night to life, culminating with snacks, tequila and everyone in the pool.
It was an incredibly beautiful, enjoyable and unique wedding where the couple’s personalities shone through at every moment. Everything was documented with digital and film photography on 35mm, 120mm and Super 8 film, which you can see at the end of this post as well as their pre-wedding photos!
I hope you enjoy the photos of these perfect couple and their celebration weekend in San Miguel de Allende.
