A Peaky Blinder-style groom, a dreamy bride and a perfect vineyard in the middle of the mountains of Valle de Guadalupe… I dreamed about Max and Jenny’s perfect wedding for a long time and now that it happened, I still can’t believe how beautiful everything was.
I had never been to Valle de Guadalupe but it was one of my bucket list destinations, so we arrived a few days before to get to know the area and take pictures of the beautiful rocky and desert landscapes. After settling into one of the coolest hotels I’ve ever seen, -our room was literally inside a gigantic rock, we finally met everyone at the welcome party, it was an amazing outdoor brunch at Troika Valle. That same afternoon we returned to our hotel Oeno with Jenny and Max to do their pre-wedding session. It was extremely convenient that we stayed at the exact same hotel as them, because we were able to make the most of the time and location, shooting until the last second of light and creating without any pressure (thanks for your hospitality Jenny and Max!)
The wedding day started at the hotel and then we moved to the beautiful wedding venue Trevista Vineyards where Max was waiting for us, just a few minutes away. There was no first look, so they saw each other for the first time as Jenny walked down the aisle and it was such an emotional moment. She looked like a fairy in her precious Flora Bridal gown (one of my favorite bridal brands), her beautiful accessories, long veil and her incredibly beautiful natural look that she put together herself. Everyone let out a few tears as they said their vows to each other and the scenery behind them was truly breathtaking.
It was a really wonderful outdoor wedding, after the ceremony and the cocktail, the reception was a spectacle. In the middle of the vineyard a long wooden table invited to a loving and cozy atmosphere where everyone ate together. This place has truly been one of the most beautiful venues I have ever documented a wedding and we were able to make the most of every moment. After some sunset portraits came the cake cutting and Jenny and Max had their first dance while Sega Genecide played live – one of the most anticipated moments for Max who brought this favorite band of his all the way from California to Valle for the wedding. The indie rock and roll kicked in immediately and everyone started dancing and jumping on the dance floor to the nostalgic beat of Mr. Brightside and lots of great 90’s covers and more.
Being able to finally meeting these two was what made this wedding so much more of what I could dreamed of. Everybody welcomed me and Nahuel (who came to shoot with me) as if we were two more guests there and that feeling of friendship and love stayed with us until we went home. Valle is a magical place to get married and If you’re already considering on having a vineyard event over there, you should look out for the amazing people at Trevista which filled this day with their personal, caring touch and their food and kindness for everyone in there, including us.
A destination in Baja that I can’t wait to visit again. Here are the photos of a long awaited weekend full of love, wine, food, dreams and so much more!
