Sophie and Bill were another one of those couples who were incredibly easy to photograph—and by that I mean that every moment they spent celebrating their wedding weekend with their loved ones in San Miguel de Allende, they were fully present and happy. On this occasion, I’d like to focus on the wedding day itself—a perfect spring day that could just as easily be a timeless moment in these two’s story.

The wedding happened at the Belmond Casa de Sierra Nevada hotel—one of my favorites—both for its colorful, San Miguel-style Mexican charm and its prime location. From the getting ready to the end of the party everything took place here, which allowed us to make the most of our photo coverage.

One of the things I liked most about these two was their sophisticated, slightly vintage look which I loved!—they were like a couple straight out of a classic Hollywood movie.

Sophie’s dress, designed by Ferrah—a childhood friend and wonderful designer—was a blend of *Wuthering Heights* with incredible modern touches and those adorable bridal shoes stole my heart. The beautiful bouquet from Bougainvillea Weddings complemented Sophie’s perfect style, as did the delicate decor at their reception and all the details throughout the wedding day, which blended perfectly with the venue and the hotel’s atmosphere.

This photo coverage was a mix of digital and analog photography, using formats such as 35mm and 120mm film. The wedding was also featured on Carats + Cake; you’ll find the link at the end of this publication.

A day filled with photos and cameras—to Sophie and Bill, with all my love.
